Job Description:

The Head of Audit China is responsible for strategic direction, audit activities, and assessments of the country’s risk and control environment for Citi’s legal entity in China. This includes regulatory relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership.

Job Responsibility:

Responsible for the coordination and delivery of high-quality, value-added multiple concurrent risk-based audit plans
ensuring timely and comprehensive audit reports
validation of regulatory and internal audit issues
reporting to the Management Board and Audit Committee
maximizing IA efficiency and effectiveness
maintaining strong relationships with management and governance committees
presenting risk-based audit plans
delivering assurance on culture, ethical conduct and governance
managing regulatory relationships
acting as the key point of contact for local regulators
attracting and developing a highly effective and diverse team
identifying and developing talent

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
fluent in written and spoken Mandarin as well as English
strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels within the organization and beyond, including senior management and regulators
effective influencing skills
pragmatic problem solver
strategic and forward thinker
promotes a culture of collaboration and teamwork
self-motivated and goal oriented
decisive, action-orientated and practical
willing to challenge and question the status quo
critical thinking
leadership and team management skills
at least 15 years of diversified financial management experience in audit or a related role
international experience preferred
CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA or similar certifications preferred
in-depth experience with the Chinese regulatory environment
extensive and hands-on experience with Chinese banking regulations
strong understanding of banking products, operations, and risk frameworks
experience in working with global teams
proficient in Risk and Control analysis and audit concepts
bachelor’s degree
master’s degree preferred

Nice to have:

International experience
related certifications such as CPA, ACA, CFA, CIA, CISA
master's degree
experience in working with global teams and dealing with integrated internal audit and assurance delivery
