Job Description

The Head of Application Solutions is a senior leadership role at NTT DATA, responsible for driving growth and profitability within the Application Solutions division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in P&L management, business development, and client engagement. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, with an MBA preferred. The role involves leading large-scale transformation programs and ensuring high-quality delivery.

Job Responsibility

  • Business Leadership & P&L Ownership: Lead the Application Solutions division as a strategic business unit with end-to-end accountability for revenue, profitability, and market share growth
  • Growth & Sales Enablement: Partner with sales leadership to shape go-to-market strategies, build a strong pipeline, and drive business development activities that expand client portfolios and revenue streams
  • Client Engagement: Act as an executive sponsor for key accounts, strengthening C-level client relationships and ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction
  • Solution Strategy: Define and evolve the divisional portfolio across application development, modernization, digital platforms, and managed services to remain competitive and differentiated in the market
  • Delivery Excellence: Oversee execution of large-scale transformation programs, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery with measurable business outcomes
  • Innovation & Differentiation: Anticipate industry trends (cloud-native, AI/ML, automation, DevSecOps, low-code/no-code) and integrate them into divisional offerings to stay ahead of market demand
  • Financial & Operational Management: Develop budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent)
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, Agile/SAFe, Cloud certifications) desirable
  • Extensive experience leading large-scale application solutions/services within IT consulting, technology, or digital services organizations
  • Proven track record of full P&L ownership with responsibility for driving revenue and profitability growth
  • Demonstrated success in business development, sales pipeline generation, and client relationship management at the executive level
  • Strong experience managing senior leaders and large global delivery teams
  • Successful track record in delivering enterprise-scale application modernization and transformation programs
  • Experience managing complex budgets and ensuring financial accountability across large divisions
