Job Description

N26 is looking for a Head of AI Products to partner with our AI and Data Science teams. In this role, you will own the AI product roadmap and lead a team of product managers delivering ML and GenAI use cases that drive real impact across N26 — from operational efficiency and financial crime detection to customer-facing intelligence. You will work at the intersection of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Generative AI on one side, and real-world banking & Product challenges on the other. Your mission is to translate advanced models and capabilities into scalable, compliant products that create value for N26's customers and internal teams. You will be the connective tissue between technical excellence and business outcomes, ensuring that what AI builds reaches production and delivers tangible results.

Job Responsibility

  • Own and drive the AI product roadmap across ML and GenAI initiatives, balancing near-term delivery with strategic bets
  • Partner closely with the different N26 Product Segments and with the AI & Data Science team on priorities, planning cycles, and shared OKRs
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for AI initiatives — from problem framing and opportunity sizing through development, launch, and iteration
  • Define and roll out AI product best practices across the organization — including the AI product lifecycle, collaboration model with Data Science, evaluation frameworks, guardrails, and progressive rollout standards
  • Contribute to N26's company-wide AI strategy, including AI fluency programs, governance frameworks, and cross-functional AI adoption
  • Support the AI Champions group and coordinate AI strategy across segments
  • Manage and develop a team of 2-3 AI Product Managers, fostering a culture of experimentation, rigor, and user-centricity
  • Act as a trusted advisor to other PTX teams looking to integrate AI into their products, sharing best practices and lessons learned
  • Manage stakeholder communication across Product, Data Science, Engineering, Compliance, and senior leadership
  • Define and track KPIs that measure both model performance and business value, ensuring accountability for outcomes

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of product management experience, with a significant portion focused on AI, ML, or data-driven products
  • Proven experience partnering with Data Science and AI experts — you understand how DS and AI works and know how to turn models into products
  • Strong technical literacy — you can distinguish between ML and GenAI approaches, understand trade-offs, and engage credibly with technical teams
  • Data-driven mindset — comfort working with complex datasets, defining meaningful KPIs, and making decisions grounded in evidence
  • Financial services experience preferred — familiarity with regulatory requirements, compliance considerations, and the operational realities of banking
  • Agile practitioner — experience managing multiple workstreams in fast-paced, iterative environments
  • Excellent communication skills — the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences and align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision
  • Strong translator between worlds — you can bridge the gap between AI / Data Science experts and Product / Business stakeholders in both directions, ensuring mutual understanding and aligned priorities
