Great opportunity with our client for a seasoned professional to lead the Actuarial team in Finance & Investment. As Head of Actuary, you’ll shape policies, refine Reserving and Solvency II processes, and ensure compliance and financial stability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the actuarial function, ensuring the accuracy and adequacy of technical provisions
  • Contribute to risk management strategies, provide critical insights to the leadership team, and support corporate planning
  • Develop actuarial models, perform risk assessments, prepare reports for stakeholders, and advise on underwriting and reinsurance policies
  • Guide team members in their actuarial qualification journey while continuously improving internal processes to support the company’s objectives

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years in commercial insurance actuarial roles
  • Previous exposure to personal lines pricing would be an advantage
  • Experience in implementing pricing controls, handling complex datasets, and working in ambiguous environments is essential
  • Highly analytical with exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, along with proficiency in Excel and the capability to develop basic business models
  • The ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving challenges is crucial
  • Familiarity with programming languages is preferred but not mandatory

Nice to have:

  • Previous exposure to personal lines pricing would be an advantage
