Head of accounting

• Ensure the smooth and compliant operation of the Accounting Department
• Supervise monthly and annual closings, the preparation of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in accordance with IFRS, and the timely submission of tax declarations
• Coordinate the budgeting process and monitor budget vs. actuals, offering insights into variances and potential financial risks
• Perform monthly reconciliations across ERP modules (purchases, sales, payroll, fixed assets, VAT, INTRASTAT)
• Lead the process for proper data submission to MyDATA and support external audits and inspections
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to maintain transparency and compliance
• Guide, train, and support your accounting team to promote accuracy, compliance, and development
• Recommend and implement improvements in financial systems, workflows, and internal controls

• 6-7 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing industry, with 2-3 years in a managerial or leadership role
• High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strategic thinking with attention to detail
• Resilience and flexibility
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a relevant field (Master’s degree is a plus)
• Valid A’ Class Accountant license
• Deep knowledge of Greek tax, labor, and commercial legislation, as well as IFRS standards
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Fluency in Greek and a very good command of English
