Job Description:

We’re looking for an inspirational leader to own Account Management for China. As a senior leader in our China business, you'll shape our culture and team environment, lead key strategic relationships and advocate for the unique needs of our China merchants within Adyen. You will build, mentor, and coach a team of Account Managers and Leads who are responsible for growing strategic merchant relationships and payments revenue. You'll encourage growth by helping the team increase wallet share, cross-selling, upselling, and building strong relationships with enterprise merchants across different industries. The ideal candidate is a born networker with a sharp commercial acumen, who thrives in a fast-paced, diverse and entrepreneurial environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Set clear individual and team goals focused on revenue growth and NPS, report on performance and metrics at an executive level
  • Build customer relationships with Payments Executives in China, providing proactive advice to influence their global payments strategy and resolve escalations
  • Serve as a thought leader in the industry and share your subject-matter expertise in Payments both internally and externally
  • Develop, articulate, and execute a clear AM vision in China (and also influence globally), in alignment with the company's overall business goals and market trends
  • Mentor new leaders and upskill existing managers within the team, to set an exemplary team culture to continuously evolve how we work
  • Lead and incrementally grow a high-performing team with an inspiring, collaborative environment and open feedback culture
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our customers succeed with Adyen, impacting Adyen’s product innovation and delivering merchant projects

Requirements:

  • Full business proficiency in Mandarin and English
  • Experience in a senior commercial leadership position with track record of growing share of wallet, cross-selling and upselling
  • Extensive experience in payments, alternative payments methods, or card acquiring
  • Experience engaging with C-suites in enterprise companies within e-commerce, digital, online marketplace or platform industries
  • At least 10+ years experience in managing teams
  • Ability to work from our Shanghai office
  • This is a full-time position with the requirement of working a minimum of 40 hours/week
  • ~25% Domestic and international travel required

  • Proven experience (15+ years) of leading successful enterprise customer expansion thanks to strong commercial skills
  • Strong Leader with a track record of scaling and evolving large and high-performing teams (ideally 50+ employees)
