Head Mixologist position at Solaz a Luxury Collection Resort Los Cabos, part of Marriott International. Responsible for wine and beverage service, guest interaction, inventory management, staff training, and ensuring high standards of hospitality and safety.
Job Responsibility:
Communicate with guests, employees, and/or departments to ensure guest needs are met
Answer guest questions regarding wines
Create, update and maintain wine lists
Pair and suggest wines to complement menu items
Attend wine tastings and develop vendor relationships
Request new wines and products
Design and implement wine promotions and incentive programs
Monitor and replenish inventory of wine cellar, equipment, and glassware
Conduct vintage and BIN number checks
Conduct staff wine tastings
Complete opening and closing duties
Inspect storage areas
Complete scheduled inventories and requisition supplies
Monitor dining rooms for seating, service, and safety
Complete work orders for maintenance
Issue, open, and serve wine/champagne bottles
Secure liquors, beers, wines, and storage areas
Follow alcohol serving laws
Maintain accurate spill sheet
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, and coaching employees
Follow company safety policies
Ensure uniform and appearance are professional
Welcome and acknowledge guests
