Reporting to EVP, Marketing APAC and SVP, GM, Direct-to-Consumer, APAC, the Head, Marketing, Direct-to-Consumer, APAC, is accountable for the overall marketing strategy and execution for Disney+ in the region and sits on the DTC Regional Leadership Team. The role oversees the full consumer funnel, from awareness and acquisition through engagement and retention, ensuring a cohesive marketing strategy across markets and touchpoints. The role also collaborates with the Partnerships team to ensure distribution initiatives are effectively translated into subscriber growth and engagement. This position is pivotal in building marketing capabilities and fostering a culture of excellence in all aspects of direct-to-consumer marketing. The Head will design and implement best-in-class marketing plans, media strategies and creative campaigns in close partnership with local teams, with the goal of driving sustained audience growth and engagement across the service within agreed budgets. Reporting to the Head of DTC Marketing are Growth, Partner Marketing and D+ Marketing leads in each territory (dual report to Integrated Marketing Territory Leads).

Job Responsibility

  • Develop, implement, and execute a strategic marketing roadmap that drives growth for Disney+ across APAC, supporting the organization’s vision, goals, and long-term growth
  • Define and position the Disney+ brand in APAC, driving awareness and demand through product and content marketing for new and exclusive originals, as well as library content
  • Identify, prioritize, and articulate high-impact marketing initiatives for the region, ensuring campaigns are innovative and consistently excellent
  • Work with regional Marketing and territory Marketing leads for Integrated media planning and execution, working with media agencies to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and ROI
  • Effective social media and PR strategy, maximizing consumer engagement and earned media across all major platforms and partners
  • Delivering outstanding creative output for Disney+ communications and campaigns
  • Synergistically market through Disney's other businesses in media, digital, retail, and parks
  • Develop and implement brand measurement frameworks to track key metrics (awareness, intent, engagement) and campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborate with Disney+ functional leads and territory leads to drive maximum demand through the marketing funnel and support wider business objectives
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and development planning for DTC marketing team members, building a high-performing, innovative, and collaborative team
  • Foster close collaboration with local, regional (APAC), and global stakeholders, including Product & Tech, Content, and Partnerships
  • Establish and maintain an innovative, inclusive, and highly collaborative culture that promotes idea generation, open communication, and excellence
  • Work cross-functionally and with strategic partners to deliver best-in-class campaigns that drive Disney+ demand and subscriber growth
  • Ensure compliance with all corporate policies/objectives and maintain the highest level of ethics and industry standards

Requirements

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in marketing, with a strong track record in executive-level marketing roles, ideally in SVOD, streaming, technology, media, or entertainment
  • Deep knowledge of subscription services and the broader media landscape
  • A combination of brand building and content marketing expertise
  • Proven leadership experience in building, developing, and motivating teams
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with strong 360° communication skills
  • Expertise in media strategy, planning, and agency management
  • Proven ability to lead creative teams to deliver outstanding marketing communications
  • Results-driven approach, using data and analytics to inform decisions and drive performance
  • Experience working across international markets, preferably within APAC
  • Collaborative, influential, and relationship-building skills to be effective in a large global matrix organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Fluent in English
