Head Housekeeper

• Cleaning and tidying the interior of the entire home to a superior standard of cleanliness and hygiene
• Assisting with food preparation
• cleaning, tidying and organising the kitchen, butler’s pantry and wine room, including appliances and equipment after meals
• Compiling weekly grocery shopping lists
• keeping the refrigerator, pantry and cupboards clean and discarding out-of-date items
• Making beds and changing bed linens and bath towels
• Collecting, washing, ironing and returning laundry to the appropriate place
• Managing wardrobes, mending clothes and arranging dry-cleaning
• Cleaning interior windows
• Answering the door and telephone
• managing deliveries and running errands
• Caring for the family dogs, including feeding, walking and general day-to-day pet welfare
• Assisting with preparation for dinner parties and special events
• Handling petty cash
• Liaising with tradesmen, suppliers and contractors
• Managing security alarms
• keeping patios, pathways and steps clean and tidy
• Maintaining stock of cleaning and household supplies
• Maintaining, cleaning and arranging servicing of all household appliances
• Notifying the Principal immediately of any items requiring repair
• Carrying out any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Principal

• Previous experience in a similar position within a private household, UHNW or luxury hospitality setting
• Trustworthy, responsible and discreet at all times
• Punctual, reliable and highly organised
• A genuine love of dogs and hands-on experience of pet care
• Energetic and physically able to carry out the demands of the role
• Attentive to detail and capable of following direction and instruction precisely
• Proactive, able to take initiative and anticipate household needs without being asked
• Enthusiastic, consistent and safety-conscious
• Comfortable taking responsibility and accountability
• Excellent references from previous employers

Staff flat including private bedroom, ensuite bathroom and kitchenette (if live-in basis)
