Active Pathways is delighted to be recruiting for a passionate Head Housekeeper to join our brand-new residential service, Fernside House, in Armley, Leeds. Fernside House will provide a safe and supportive home for men with enduring mental health needs, and we’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to person-centred, recovery-focused care. This is an incredibly varied and rewarding role where you will lead by example, ensuring our service maintains the highest cleanliness, hygiene, and catering standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervising and supporting the housekeeping team to create a seamless and efficient service
  • Ensuring all cleaning and infection control protocols are followed to maintain a safe and welcoming home environment
  • Managing stock levels, placing orders, and conducting monthly stock checks
  • Creating rotas and carrying out staff supervisions to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Upholding the highest Health & Safety, COSHH, and hygiene standards

Requirements:

  • Experience in housekeeping within a health and social care setting
  • A strong understanding of managing a team, supervision, and rota planning
  • Knowledge of stock ordering, control, and compliance
  • A passion for creating a homely environment that promotes dignity and well-being
