Job Description

Lead various projects on Environmental Sustainability, Health and Safety across all three (3) Gurgaon labs and comply to EHS legal requirements.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and deploy Environment, Health & Safety programs & procedures in line with corporate requirements basis priorities and operational risks
  • Develop regional EHS business plan and assist in developing business unit EHS plan and manage EHS program portfolio based on the business plan and measure and monitor effectiveness of EHS programs and procedures
  • Engage with business leaders and regional leaders to apprise them with EHS performance and getting necessary resources for EHS risk management
  • ensure compliance to Global EHS standards and EHS regulatory requirements
  • supporting EHS program development/standardization needs for the labs
  • Lead EHS training need assessment for various levels of organization and identify priority for EHS trainings
  • design and deliver EHS training modules across enterprises and continually improve and innovate learning tools to optimize learning objectives, cost effectiveness and ensure quality assurance
  • Networking and partnering with internal experts to share best practices, identify leading practices for EHS risk management and promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • develop and deploy risk based audit plan for Business Units, follow up on action items, Incident Investigation, Emergency Action Plan
  • ensure updating EHS performance data, compile and analyze data to identify improvement trends and reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Support EHS communication to build the EHS brand across region
  • explore and deploy technologies for improved EHS risk management
  • Design & deploy campaigns to improve awareness and monitor its effectiveness
  • healthiness of fire detection and protection system
  • conduct periodic hygiene sampling and assessment
  • monitor and advice on environment, health, safety and hygiene parameters
  • carryout weekly and monthly EHS Reporting System
  • facing and conducting Safety audits, visits and ensure compliance to observations shared
  • preparing sustainable management systems certification and maintain documentation, lead projects – process safety, machinery safety, fire safety, Ergonomics risk solutions, hygiene practices
  • reporting the monthly injury, illness, allergy data to the management and to the Asia coordinator
  • Validating the Sustainability report with regards to EHS section and ensuring that the correct data is reported by the concerned departments
  • coordinating with concerned departments and supporting them in filling up forms like CFE,CFO, Form 4

Requirements

  • Operated as Specialist of one or more of the following BUs: Manufacturing processes/EHS/Quality
  • Total 15 years of experience of which 8 -10 years of relevant work experience in EHS and manufacturing processes
  • Experience in setting up EHS in a manufacturing work environment
  • good analytical skills and focus on operational excellence through EHS policy and processes
  • possess multi-location responsibility and accountability of EHS Role
  • ability to handle complexity
  • One or more of the following: Medical device/Optical industry/FMCG Auto Manufacturing/Electronic industry/Pharma/Electronic components/Chemical/Other manufacturing
  • Preference who has worked in MNC Culture, Cross functional Team Management
  • Communication
  • Customer Focus, Global Stakeholder Management
  • Diploma in Industrial Safety along with Graduation in any engineering stream. Or Post Graduate Diploma in Safety Management / Industrial Safety. Or M.Sc. Environment science along with certification in Industrial Safety.
