Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Head Cook to join our team at Poplars Nursing and Residential Home, where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and individuals living with dementia.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and cook hot and cold meals, taking into consideration dietary requirements and individual preferences
Provide leadership and support to the kitchen staff team
Maintain accurate records of food supplies and deliveries
Plan or contribute to menus with a focus on fresh ingredients and balanced nutrition
Stock rotation
Ensure all equipment is cleaned, well maintained, and stored appropriately
Ensure the cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas are carried out effectively

Requirements:

Food / Hygiene Certificate
Good communication skills
Team player
Ability to work on own initiative
