Job Description:

Head Chef position at Haighton Manor near Preston, a country pub. Role involves playing a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen management, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. The pub has seasonal menus and four bedrooms. Part of Brunning and Price, a family of 85 pubs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Menu development
  • Kitchen management
  • Maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation
  • Responsible for the food culture within the pub
  • Working closely with the pub manager to drive the business forward
  • Helping to formulate seasonal menus with Executive Chefs

Requirements:

  • Experience as a head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager or senior sous chef in a busy, premium fresh food environment
  • Confident leader who will nurture their team and create an inclusive and supportive environment
  • Excellent business acumen to manage a well-run kitchen, keeping on top of stock, GPs and labour controls
