Flockhill Lodge is a world-class alpine lodge in the heart of the South Island's Southern Alps. We're based 90 minutes' drive from Christchurch, with staff accommodation available. We're looking for a Head Chef to join our small, high-performing kitchen team, working closely alongside our Executive Chef to deliver exceptional dining experiences that celebrate New Zealand produce and storytelling through food.
Job Responsibility:
Lead day-to-day kitchen operations
Support menu execution
Mentor junior chefs
Maintain standards
Ensure smooth service across fine-dining restaurant and private lodge experiences
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years' experience including leading and developing a team
Love for local ingredients, provenance and seasonal cooking
Calm, collaborative leadership with sharp attention to detail
Flexibility across different service styles and guest experiences
Commitment to exemplary food safety, hygiene, and presentation
