Head Chef

• Organise, plan and prepare meals ensuring that all home cooked food not only looks and tastes delicious but also reflects the preferences and dietary requirements of each resident
• Provide guidance and training to care teams on understanding and implementing safe and appropriate textured food options for residents, ensuring compliance with dietary standards (e.g. IDDSI)
• Lead, motivate and inspire your kitchen team to develop and upskill
• Comply with industry and Meallmore quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Work within budget, complete regular audits and stock control
• Menu development, tailoring around resident’s needs, likes and dislikes to ensure we deliver person-centred hospitality

• Experience as Head Chef or similar, ideally in care homes or healthcare preferred
• A personal and warm approach with a genuine interest of the well-being of our residents
• Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs and food allergies
• Excellent leadership and team management
• Good understanding of HACCP & COSHH
• Food Safety Level 3 desirable
