Job Responsibility:
Organise, plan and prepare meals ensuring that all home cooked food not only looks and tastes delicious but also reflects the preferences and dietary requirements of each resident
Provide guidance and training to care teams on understanding and implementing safe and appropriate textured food options for residents, ensuring compliance with dietary standards (e.g., IDDSI)
Lead, motivate and inspire your kitchen team to develop and upskill
Comply with industry and Meallmore quality, hygiene and cleanliness standards
Work within budget, complete regular audits and stock control
Menu development, tailoring around resident's needs, likes and dislikes to ensure we deliver person-centred hospitality
Requirements:
Experience as Head Chef or similar, ideally in care homes or healthcare preferred
A personal and warm approach with a genuine interest of the well being of our residents
Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs and food allergies
Excellent leadership and team management
Good understanding of HACCP & COSHH
Food Safety Level 3 desirable
