Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Head Chef to lead a busy, high-volume kitchen in Hounslow. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to oversee a dynamic food operation serving up to 400 covers per day, alongside delivering exceptional hospitality services for on-site events and meetings. Please note: This role requires security clearance and a 5-year continuous work history with no gaps.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, motivate, and manage the kitchen team to deliver exceptional food standards
  • Oversee high-volume food production and ensure smooth daily service
  • Deliver high-quality hospitality catering for client events and meetings
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure service excellence
  • Manage stock control, food safety, and compliance standards
  • Drive innovation and menu development within a contract catering environment

Requirements

  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent
  • Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Experience supervising a team in a similar chef role
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Willingness to complete a trade test as part of the recruitment process
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high-volume environment
  • Previous contract catering experience is essential
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to deliver both bulk catering and high-end hospitality services
  • Excellent communication and client engagement skills
  • Passion for food quality, presentation, and customer service
