Artemis are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at our Pear Tree venue in Purton. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to kitchen management, demonstrating strong leadership, self-motivation, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. A genuine passion for producing high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients is essential.
Job Responsibility:
Day to day management of your venue kitchen. From food preparation and service to ensuring high standards of cleanliness are kept
To follow our allergens policy and kitchen management package. (Full training given)
Managing your kitchen team, rota planning and holidays
Daily ordering from suppliers, monthly stock takes
Working within our food and staffing budgets to maintain financial standards
Reporting regularly to the Group Executive Head Chef, day to day report to the General Manager. Responding to emails
Management of Checkit (full training given)
Requirements:
2 years’ experience in a similar position and used to providing for 100+ covers using fresh ingredients together with a strong background in food led establishments
A passion for cooking
A proven track record, with good references to support your CV
Kitchen management and communication skills. Be confident in Food safety management, ordering, stock takes and Planning rotas (company laptop provided)
Own transport is essential due to the location
Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK
