Job Description:

Equans is looking for a Head Caretaker to join our team working in Arthur Terry School, Kittoe Road, Sutton Coldfield, B74 4RZ. This is a permanent full time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £32,800.00 per annum and benefits package.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervising a team of caretakers and the delivery of caretaking/premises upkeep within 6 Schools
  • Establishing a close working relationship with the school and community groups
  • Ensure that all services are provided to a consistently high standard in accordance with the requirements of the Project Agreement

Requirements:

  • Relevant continuous working experience of providing FM services including litter control and basic maintenance of buildings and associated plant and systems
  • Experience within supervising / Managing a team
  • Experience of producing risk assessments & method statements
  • Experience of premises upkeep and caretaking management within an educational environment
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of health and safety principles
  • Able to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines
  • Acting as a key holder and responding to site access requirements
