Job Description:

Purpose of the Role: The Head - Buildings will be responsible for leading, managing, and delivering high-value high-rise building projects exceeding ₹1,000 Cr. The role requires strategic leadership, financial oversight, resource optimization, stakeholder management, and ensuring projects meet timelines, quality standards, and profitability targets.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle, from planning to execution and completion of high value high-rise building projects
  • Ensure project timelines, quality, and budgetary control are met across all assigned sites
  • Implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent delays and cost overruns
  • Conduct periodic site visits, review progress, and address construction-related issues proactively
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring cost control and profitability
  • Analyze financial reports and cash flows to optimize cost efficiency
  • Implement cost control measures and ensure adherence to contract specifications
  • Ensure all projects comply with regulatory standards, contract terms, and quality benchmarks
  • Lead quality control measures and audits to maintain high construction standards
  • Oversee safety and compliance protocols to minimize project risks
  • Manage a team of senior project managers, engineers, and site supervisors
  • Ensure effective allocation and utilization of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment
  • Drive performance and provide strategic direction to the project teams
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, vendors, and regulatory bodies
  • Represent the company in negotiations, contract discussions, and client meetings
  • Work closely with government officials for approvals and clearances
  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term business strategies for project execution
  • Identify growth opportunities within the high-rise buildings sector and drive business expansion
  • Act as an independent business unit (SBU) to optimize operational efficiency and profitability

Requirements:

  • B.Tech in Civil Engineering
  • MBA preferred
  • 20+ years in managing high-value high-rise building projects in the infrastructure/construction industry
  • Execution of residential and high-rise buildings
  • Successfully handled projects worth ₹1,000 Cr+ in a contracting environment
