We are seeking a committed HE Course Officer (Part Time) to support the effective delivery of College services and priorities.
Job Responsibility
Maintain accurate student records for admissions, enrolment, and assessment boards, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
Serve as a first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, providing initial advice and guidance to support students’ needs
Support key events, such as enrolment, induction, and graduation ceremonies
Support examinations, including invigilation
Draft and manage student communications, including letters, emails, and other correspondence
Provide secretarial support at student-focused meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-up actions are completed
Oversee the processing of bursaries, scholarships, and other student funding arrangements
Use IT systems and software to manage student data, produce reports, and streamline administrative processes
Demonstrate a flexible and proactive approach to supporting colleagues in other areas during busy periods
Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
Requirements
Previous experience of assisting the students (or the public) in a customer service environment
Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise confidently at all levels within the institution and beyond
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in databases, spreadsheets, and email communication
The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
A flexible and adaptable approach to work, especially during peak periods
