General Motors is seeking a Sr. Workday Functional Analyst with strong expertise in Core HCM and Workday Business Processes (BPs) to support and enhance our Workday environment. This role will partner closely with HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Compensation, and IT teams to configure, optimize, and troubleshoot Workday processes while ensuring efficient and scalable HR operations.
Job Responsibility
Configure and maintain Workday Core HCM and Business Processes in the functional areas of Staffing, Onboarding, Jobs & Positions, Contact Information and Personal Information.to deliver projects, changes/enhancement requests
Manage BP routing, approvals, condition rules, notifications, validations, documents, questionnaires, business process security policies, etc.
Support Workday production issues serving as a Tier escalation contact
Review automatically available items as part of the WD R1/R2 release for impact and support regression testing
Review and disposition setup required items as part of the R1/R2 release for functionality uptake
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and implement system improvements
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including HR leaders, IT professionals, and end-users
Requirements
4+ years of Workday functional experience
Strong knowledge of Workday Core HCM and BP Framework
Experience with Workday security, reporting, and calculated fields
Ability to troubleshoot complex business process and configuration issues
Strong communication (written and verbal), analytical, and stakeholder management skills
Experience creating and processing EIB files to support mass business transactions
Strong understanding of HR processes and best practices
