Job Description:

We are seeking a Hatchery Technician to join the camp based shift on the Freshwater team at Mowi Canada East Inc. at our Hatchery in Northampton, NB. Looking for a something new and exciting where you can grow your career, this is your opportunity! In the Hatchery Technician role you will live in our onsite accommodations for the duration of your 8 day shift and experience all the duties of a Hatchery Technician.

Requirements:

  • Related post-secondary education and/or experience within the industry is considered an asset
  • Respect for the need for safe working practices and animal welfare
  • Well-developed English verbal and written communication
  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and participate in training opportunities
  • Good computer skills and ability to enter/review data
  • Ability to live and work on site in company accommodations for a shift of 8 days on, 6 days off
  • Physical capability to lift and handle up to 25kg of material complete repetitive physical tasks
  • A positive attitude and desire to work in a team oriented environment
  • Ability to work safely and effectively indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the job as needed
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada
