Job Responsibility:
Shape the strategic direction of Lucideon’s harsh materials capability, acting as a global thought leader through conferences, publications, and client engagement
Contribute to the management and use of ultra‑high‑temperature and controlled‑atmosphere facilities at the AMRICC Centre
Lead and deliver complex client projects ranging from short‑term studies to large multi‑month programmes
Support the development and operational delivery of the Refractory Testing Centre
Engage with clients, partners and stakeholders (office‑based with regular travel)
Mentor and support scientists to build strong technical capability within the team
Requirements:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Materials Science/Engineering or a related discipline
Strong technical understanding of materials in harsh environments, their applications and associated processes
History of practical, hands-on experience within the materials in harsh environments sector
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrable ability to plan, lead and deliver large technical projects
Ability to manage high-pressure technical decisions
Eligibility for UK security clearance
