As an experienced Hardware Test Lead, you will be involved in the verification and qualification of Power Electronics Hardware design for Electronic Turbochargers and Electronic Boosters.
Job Responsibility:
Involved in the verification and qualification of Power Electronics Hardware design for Electronic Turbochargers and Electronic Boosters
Leading a team of Hardware test engineers and responsible for project deliverables and customer satisfaction – Test plan/strategies definition, Test Planning, Estimating, Risks, meeting Quality, Customer commitments & meeting compliance standards
Responsible for co-ordinating the scope of testing, aligning testing priorities & timelines, communicating the test results
Leading the team for performing circuit design analysis, and testing/validation of Hardware circuits for functionality and performance under varying conditions
Involved with the team for testing & debugging complex power electronics, PCB level testing and diagnose circuit board failures
Guide and direct the team to deliver quality products within the desired process framework
Reviewing and supporting the approval of test input documents, such as module description documents, architectures, and requirements
Reviewing and approving test specifications and test results
Participate in design reviews, requirement reviews, DFMEAs, PFMEAs
Planning and defining work packages according to agile project management methods such as Scrum/Kanban in JIRA – Responsible to ensure all function blocks are defined and tested – both in a standalone and integrated context
Generate the test reports (coverage, results, test insights and failure trends …) and present to internal and external customers/Cross functional teams
Maintain detailed and traceable documentation including test plans, procedures, test reports, and compliance data
Planning (schedules/resources) and coordinating work packages within the test team in the project
Setting up and maintaining project-specific Hardware test infrastructure including Hardware equipment test tools and electronic components required
Failure Analysis & Continuous Improvement: Lead structured root cause analysis (RCA) for failures from lab, field, or customer feedback, Drive initiatives for test process improvement and product reliability enhancement
Preparing and conducting technical and project-specific training for testers
Will be part of a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined product development and testing teams working on projects involving multiple locations

Requirements:
B.E. / B Tech / M Tech with Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation
Minimum 10-14 years of experience in Electronics Hardware development/Testing in the automotive industry
Good Experience in Leading a team of Hardware test engineers and has hands-on with Electronics Test team management
Very good working knowledge of verification of Power Electronics Hardware in the automotive sector
Very good knowledge in power-electronic theories, circuit design, and measurement techniques
Experience with testing of mixed signals electronics designs, power switching circuits in Automotive Embedded Power Electronics Hardware
Hands-on experience in testing & debugging complex power electronics, PCB level testing and diagnose circuit board failures
Strong abilities to Interpret schematics/requirements/data sheets, comprehend PCB layout of inverter stages, transceivers, microcontrollers, power modules (with IGBT, MOSFET etc), Pre-drivers etc.
Strong knowledge of converter/inverter topologies (AC-DC, DC-DC, motor controls)
Strong knowledge of Electronics testing tools such as Function/ signal generators, Oscilloscope, Climate chamber, power supplies
Good Experience working in a High Voltage lab environment & handling high voltage instruments, board testing, board bring up etc
Well versed in HW test methods and test management
Very good working Knowledge on requirement, Change & defect management tools like Polarion, JIRA
Knowledge of quality compliance measures such as reviews, Automotive SPICE
Familiarity with compliance and safety standards (like IEC, AIS, ISO)
Detail-oriented with a high standard for documentation and test setup quality
Possesses sharp analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills and high intercultural social competence
Good verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with teams spread geographically and Agile in approach
Nice to have:
Know-how of using Vector CAN tools like CANape, CANOe will be advantage
Familiarity with Altium and Simulation tools with be desirable
