The Operations Program Manager is responsible for the operational management and supports all Hardware projects within Block. You will manage and lead cross functional teams by driving schedules and communicating risks and priorities from development to mass production. You will also ensure the success of development builds and mass production through factory ownership and by utilizing strong operational management experience to manage selected CMs and achieve objectives for the company. You will drive day to day activities with Contract Manufacturers and Block teams from NPI through sustaining stages, with the top level project goals in sight at all times. The Operations Program Manager is expected to understand the details of cross-functional issues and risks, while also maintaining an operations mindset to ensure a healthy supply. This will enable you to set the proper priorities and put risk mitigation plans in place. You will lead and manage the effort to take a program from development stages through the end of life cycle.
Job Responsibility:
Work cross-functionally with the internal teams and Block's manufacturing partners to ensure new products are successfully developed through NPI to Mass Production
Work alongside the cross-functional team during development to prepare EVT, DVT, PVT and Ramp, this includes factory support & build-readiness preparation. Lead operational readiness of new product
Work cross-functionally with engineering, planning, & product marketing to ensure that final product supply can meet demand
Work closely with the engineering, quality, and product teams to identify risks and opportunities in manufacturing / production
Manage overall capacity plan, including coordination of equipment, fixture & materials for ramp
Work closely with MPM and GSM to identify material supply risks and/or opportunities to manage support build plan
Lead Post Ramp Qualification to ensure post ramp changes are made and implemented based on the need of program quality improvement, material shortages, etc.
Build strong relationships with CM's to ensure high quality and a predictable supply
Be able to plan and track operational budget and spending
Requirements:
5+ years of industry experience and project management experience
Strong interpersonality and project leadership
Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin
Ability to travel up to ~40% to various international destinations
Experience with supply chain management / manufacturing background is preferred
