Job Description:

You will be responsible for, and take ownership of, the full life-cycle of the hardware test systems, including: specification, design, procurement, construction, software development, integration and maintenance of Hardware-In-Loop testing of our electronic control systems for the AURA gridded-ion thruster, with the aim of testing both the hardware and its embedded software. You will be working cross-functionally with the electronics, control, software and satellite teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • Specify, design and build a HIL system for testing the AURA thruster electronics
  • Specify, design and develop the software and scripts to test the hardware
  • Develop an electronic thruster simulator in collaboration with the software and control teams

Requirements:

  • Proven history of HIL development
  • Expertise in National Instruments, Speed Goat, dSPACE or equivalent systems
  • Expertise in test design and development
  • Good understanding of electronics design
  • Good knowledge Python, possibly C/C++
  • Knowledge of Simulink / MATLAB

Nice to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in HIL development and testing
  • Space-related experience
