As an Hardware Engineer at Meta, you will design, build, and test prototype systems for future consumer experiences within Meta’s Product Portfolio. You will become part of a team exploring new concepts through fast iterative prototyping. You will work cross-functionally with teams that will dynamically change depending on the problem and potentially include electrical, mechanical, optical, firmware, software. We want people who work well in teams, can take a broad definition and implement electrical system development, and can transition these designs into high-volume consumer products.
Job Responsibility:
Key contributor to updates, modifications, testing, and delivery of form factor integration within new or existing systems
Drive electrical hardware and technology teams through phases of engineering design, development, and validation to bring complex Wearable products to mass production
Provide technical ownership and guidance to make crucial electrical hardware product decisions
Work on all aspects of system engineering from initial definition of requirements and specifications, identification of risk, opportunities, and tradeoffs through to the decision processes, implementation, and risk mitigation
Develop processes and checklists to ensure comprehensive documentation, cross-functional alignment, and execution at all stages of product development, requirements flow, verification and validation, and interaction between various subsystems
Empower cross functional collaboration, lead the team through an efficient and holistic approach to decision making and integration of innovative solutions
Plan and drive verification and validation strategies to ensure that hardware systems meet the specified requirements and function correctly in the intended environment, in collaboration with cross functional teams
Manage data driven methods for developing system requirements and verification related deliverables, such as specifications, design criteria, system descriptions, and verification tracking
Effective communication and documentation skills are essential, as you will need to collaborate with several teams, develop documentation, and debug complex systems

Experience managing urgent projects through to completion while balancing evolving priorities and a range of stakeholders
Proven technical proficiency in one or more of the following hardware disciplines: system engineering in electrical and mechanical, critical sub-systems including display, cameras, sensors in smart wearable products
Solid leadership skills, with experience leading cross-functional technology teams through personal accountability and influence
Analytical skills. Capacity to drive and triage testing, debugging, and root cause analysis for Hardware blocks
Proven track record conveying complex technical concepts and drive alignment on product requirements and architecture, both within and across organizational levels
Nice to have:
Track record of shipping high volume products to market
Previous consumer electronics experience
Experience with both Electrical and Mechanical system development
Experience with EMI and ESD risks and mitigation techniques
Experience with analog/mixed signal IC design, fabrication, and validation process
Experience designing for HDI rigid PCB and HDI FPC for high volume cost optimized applications
