Job Description:

We are looking for a Hardware Engineer for a project in the industrial domains. We are a software-focused company building a long-term partnership with a Hardware Engineer in digital and power electronics. This is not a single fixed project: we are looking for a trusted expert whom we can regularly involve in pre-sales, early technical discovery and deep-dive work on automotive and industrial electronics projects. You will act as our go-to hardware expert for projects that involve control systems, communication interfaces and power electronics. Depending on the engagement, your tasks may include anything from quick feasibility checks and concept reviews to detailed design work and support of certification.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support pre-sales: review customer needs, propose HW concepts and architectures, estimate complexity and risks
  • Design and review schematics and PCBs in Altium Designer for control, communication and power circuits
  • Develop or review high-current boards (many power nets on one PCB, total current, thermal aspects, copper thickness, stack-up)
  • Drive or advise on the full hardware flow: from requirements and calculations in Excel/Word → schematics → PCB layout → production files (Gerbers, fab/assembly docs)
  • Integrate and review CAN, USB, Ethernet hardware interfaces (with attention to EMC and robustness)
  • Support component selection and sourcing, propose alternates and help handle shortages
  • Design and support production of wire harnesses
  • define pinouts and documentation for harness manufacturers
  • Cooperate with mechanical engineers on cable routing and packaging in enclosures / cabinets
  • Prepare or review documentation to support CE certification and help resolve test findings
  • Join deep-dive sessions on active projects when hardware expertise is needed (design reviews, root cause analysis, improvement proposals)
  • Communicate with international customers and our team in English (calls, workshops, written feedback)

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in digital and power electronics for automotive and/or industrial applications
  • Strong hands-on skills with Altium Designer
  • Practical experience with high-current PCB design and thermal management
  • Experience with CAN and USB hardware (Ethernet is a plus)
  • Experience with wire harness design and cooperation with mechanical engineers on cable routing
  • Experience with or exposure to CE certification of electronic products is a strong advantage
  • Ability to work from high-level requirements, Excel/Word specs and sketches and turn them into concrete hardware decisions
  • Confident English for direct communication with customers
  • Interest in a flexible, long-term, on-demand partnership, rather than a single short project
What we offer:
  • Flexible working format - remote, office-based or flexible
  • A competitive salary and good compensation package
  • Personalized career growth
  • Professional development tools (mentorship program, tech talks and trainings, centers of excellence, and more)
  • Active tech communities with regular knowledge sharing
  • Education reimbursement
  • Memorable anniversary presents
  • Corporate events and team buildings
  • Other location-specific benefits
