Job Description:

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we're looking for talented people who want to help. You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you'll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. Amazon is looking for a motivated, customer-obsessed and open-minded procurement intern to work within our Data Center Sourcing & Procurement team based in Singapore. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the Data Center industry, working alongside AWS infrastructure teams and service vendors across the Asia region. Our team ensures availability of 3rd party resources to perform services to the highest safety & quality standards in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and able to support multiple initiatives simultaneously. You should be collaborative, analytical, and demonstrate strong curiosity about procurement processes. This is an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and data center operations. We welcome candidates from various backgrounds including engineering, business, commerce, or other vendor-facing roles who are eager to learn about data center procurement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support infrastructure delivery & engineering supplier procurement activities, including: Assist internal stakeholders in understanding supplier capabilities and service requirements

  • Help develop tracking mechanisms and metrics for supplier performance (on-time delivery, safety, quality, cost)
  • Participate in supplier business reviews and performance discussions
  • Assist with bid analysis, rate card reviews, and cost comparison activities
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to automate or streamline procurement workflows
  • Learn and apply procurement governance, procedures, and policies
  • Conduct market research and supplier analysis to support sourcing decisions.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university
  • Relevant experience through internships, co-op programs, or entry-level roles in procurement, vendor management, supplier engagement, or related fields
  • Demonstrated interest in procurement, supply chain, or vendor management through coursework, projects, or prior work experience
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking initiative on assigned tasks
  • Candidate needs to be able to commit to a full-time internship (40hours/week) for 6-months from May 2026 onwards.

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to data centers, engineering, infrastructure services, or technology companies through internships or academic projects
  • Familiarity with procurement processes such as RFQ/RFP management, supplier evaluation, or contract review
  • Interest in market intelligence, commodity trends, or supplier performance analysis
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and willingness to learn new tools and processes
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Conversational proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages is a plus.
What we offer:
  • Inclusive Team Culture
  • Mentorship & Career Growth
  • Work/Life Balance
