We are looking for an experienced Hardware Asset Manager to join our team in Woodland Hills, California. This Contract-to-Ongoing position offers the opportunity to manage IT procurement tasks and hardware asset operations, ensuring optimal vendor negotiations and cost management. The role requires a strong background in hardware acquisitions and vendor relations, with the potential for long-term placement after one year.
Job Responsibility
Manage the procurement of IT hardware assets, including negotiating with vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms
Oversee the lifecycle of hardware assets, ensuring proper acquisition, deployment, and recovery processes
Collaborate with internal teams to identify hardware requirements and recommend suitable solutions
Conduct vendor meetings, including RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, to evaluate and select the best options for hardware purchases
Optimize procurement costs while maintaining high-quality standards for enterprise-level end-user hardware
Utilize tools such as ServiceNow and D365 to streamline asset management and procurement processes
Provide guidance on hardware compatibility and setup for specific roles and workstations
Manage asset recovery operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and efficient handling
Support licensing efforts, including Microsoft products, to align with organizational needs and budgets
Requirements
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT procurement and hardware asset management
Proven ability to negotiate with vendors and secure competitive pricing
Familiarity with RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs processes
Strong cost optimization skills and ability to push back on vendors when necessary
Proficiency in ServiceNow, D365, and Microsoft Office Suite
Effective communication and soft skills for vendor and team interactions
Experience with enterprise-level end-user hardware acquisitions
Knowledge of licensing management, particularly with Microsoft products
