Amentum is seeking a Hard Services Manager. The Hard Services Manager is accountable for the overall performance, safety, reliability, and financial stewardship of hard services operations at the assigned site. This role provides leadership and direction for maintenance teams, subcontractors, and technical operations within a fast-paced industrial environment, ensuring full compliance with client requirements, contractual obligations, and Amentum operational standards. The Hard Services Manager owns planning, prioritization, execution, documentation, reporting, and continuous improvement of maintenance activities while serving as the primary hard services interface with the client.
Job Responsibility
Operational Leadership
Own overall hard services performance for the site, including safety, uptime, service delivery, quality, and client satisfaction
Plan, prioritize, and oversee preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance activities
Lead maintenance readiness for shutdowns, outages, and critical operational events
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
Client & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all hard service-related matters with the client
Lead client governance meetings and performance reviews
Prepare and present executive-level reports and dashboards
Safety & Compliance
Lead and enforce safety programs in collaboration with the Safety Manager
Ensure compliance with Life Safety Systems requirements
Conduct safety and quality audits
Maintenance Systems & CMMS
Ensure accurate documentation within CMMS (Maximo, SAP)
Oversee work order management and scheduling
Financial & Contract Management
Collaborate with Finance to manage budgets and control costs
Track labor and subcontractor spend
Support contract renewals and scope changes
People Leadership
Lead workforce performance management and development
Support training and succession planning
Deliver corrective and disciplinary actions when required
Reporting & Metrics
Defining and track KPIs related to safety, reliability, and cost
Approve employee time reporting
Requirements
Ten years of recent (within past 2 years) verifiable industrial facilities maintenance management experience
Bachelor's degree in electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical engineering
Level C1 or higher English. Bilingual English and Spanish
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain a security access badge at client's worksite
Must be willing to work overtime when required
Must be willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends when required
