Handyperson position at W Brisbane Engineering team responsible for maintenance, repairs, and guest service requests at the hotel property

Job Responsibility:

  • Respond to guest repair requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
  • Communicate daily activities between shifts
  • Perform painting, drywall and wood trim repairs
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing and electrical equipment
  • Program TV's
  • Use Lockout/Tagout safety system
  • Maintain landscaping and sprinklers

Requirements:

  • Respond and attend to guest repair requests
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts
  • Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair
  • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical components
  • Program TV's and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties
  • Use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance work
