Job Description:

W Sydney is casting for Engineering Handypersons to facilitate repairs and maintenance. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Engineering, these roles ensure the building, contents, and grounds are maintained with attention to fire safety, asset protection, and security. Key responsibilities include scheduled preventative maintenance in guest areas, routine pool/spa upkeep, and responding to maintenance needs on hotel equipment.

Job Responsibility:

Carries out urgent and non-urgent maintenance requests
Supports the engineering team day to day operations
Supports and drives improved guest experiences
Assists external contractors and outsourced preventative maintenance programs
Monitor stock levels of critical spares
Carry out preventative maintenance tasks
Drive synergies with key departments and stakeholders
Supports and innovates energy, water and waste conservation

Requirements:

Minimum one year experience in engineering/facilities
Hospitality experience will be advantageous
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and attention to detail
EWP license advantageous

Nice to have:

Hospitality experience will be advantageous
EWP license advantageous
