Requirements

A full driving licence is essential, and you must be 25 or over due to insurance
You will need previous experience in a Caretaker / Handy Person role
Ideally you will have basic experience of plumbing and carpentry
You will be required to travel to two additional sites outside of Kent once a month
You will be required to have an Enhanced DBS processed for this role due to the nature of the company

Job Responsibility

Maintaining general appearance and tidiness of external and internal areas
Perform preventative maintenance tasks regularly
Carry out basic carpentry fixes such as fitting doors and fire door adjustments
Carry out basic plumbing tasks such as repairing leaks and changing taps
Complete regular inspections of building and reporting any issues to the Facilities Manager
Determine tools and equipment needed for individual repair or maintenance job
Deliver projects from start to finish which can vary from small maintenance through to full office refurbishments projects
Overseeing various trades and contractors whilst on site
Monitor the building's security, including locking/unlocking doors and ensuring access control
Complete general maintenance tasks across the offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, and common areas

Relevant qualification within maintenance field desirable but not essential

Job Responsibility

Carry out general maintenance and repairs across the nursery, including basic carpentry, plumbing, and painting
Ensure outdoor play areas are safe and well-maintained
Perform regular health and safety checks, reporting any issues to the Nursery Manager
Assist with setting up and taking down equipment for activities and events
Support with light gardening, keeping the nursery grounds neat and tidy
Respond to maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner
Work closely with the Nursery Manager to schedule and prioritize tasks
