Job Description:

We are seeking a Hands-On Infrastructure Manager to oversee the operational performance of a four-member IT team while also contributing directly as a Microsoft Systems Administrator. This dual-role position requires strong leadership skills to mentor and guide team members, coupled with technical expertise in managing on-prem and cloud-based Microsoft systems. You'll split your time between managing and performing hands-on technical work, ensuring smooth infrastructure performance, timely delivery of upgrades, and improved system reliability.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing IT infrastructure team, fostering a collaborative and engaging environment
  • Manage team workloads, set clear priorities, and allocate resources effectively while ensuring on-time delivery of projects
  • Support strategic IT initiatives, including infrastructure modernization and cloud migration projects
  • Promote employee engagement while driving team alignment with organizational goals
  • Provide hands-on training, coaching, and professional development for team members
  • Maintain and optimize Microsoft-based systems (Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft 365, Azure environments)
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade servers, PCs, applications, and network hardware for performance and dependability
  • Oversee security protocols to safeguard IT systems and sensitive organizational data
  • Execute regular maintenance checks to reduce technical debt and prevent unplanned downtime
  • Collaborate with IT leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure system scalability and sustainable modernization practices

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven experience in a leadership or infrastructure management role—minimum 5 years preferred
  • Expertise in Microsoft Systems Administration (Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Azure)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networks, virtualization, and cybersecurity practices
  • Strategic vision for modernizing outdated systems and addressing technical debt
  • Highly proficient in business analysis and cross-team collaboration to align IT initiatives with broader organizational goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster team collaboration and employee engagement
