Hands-On Controller

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
• Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems to track and analyze COGS
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into production costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses
• Implement cost control measures to improve profitability
• Oversee inventory accounting and ensure accurate valuation of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies
• Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures
• Lead the annual budgeting process and develop financial forecasts
• Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis
• Assist in strategic planning and financial decision-making
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
• Work closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to understand operational challenges and provide financial insights
• Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing or similar environment, with a strong focus on cost accounting and inventory management
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
• experience with NetSuite is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
