Job Description:

Occupational Therapist in Hand Therapy, working in our state of the art Outpatient Pavilion designed specifically to promote ease of collaboration with our world class orthopedic surgeons. We provide care to a diverse patient population with a variety of hand and upper extremity injuries, including traumatic injuries and pathological conditions. Join the region’s only academic medical center and work towards our mission of delivering outstanding patient care through commitment to the community, ground breaking research and inspired teaching.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivery of occupational therapy services including evaluation and treatment of routine and complex patients
  • Representing our dynamic Rehabilitation Services department to the medical and general community
  • Demonstrating competence in the UC San Diego Health core values
  • Sharing your expertise with departmental staff in areas of advanced clinical care and customer service
  • May require floating to other UCSD Rehab Services Clinics

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy approved by the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of California
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date

Nice to have:

  • Outpatient experience in a hospital based setting and/or preferred experience in a large academic medical center
  • Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
