Job Description:

The Senior HANA Consultant role requires 6 to 10 years of experience in HANA system architecture and administration. Candidates should have strong skills in HANA installation, Linux OS, and performance tuning. Responsibilities include managing incidents, conducting training, and ensuring high availability of systems. A degree in business informatics or computer science is required.

Job Responsibility:

  • You will be responsible for message processing, technical incident management, service- and change request management as well as problem management and root cause analysis
  • You will be performing installation, patching and upgrade activities
  • You will be responsible for performance monitoring and tuning, backup and restore as well as recovery procedures
  • You will ensure high availability of the systems including disaster recovery setup
  • Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing System Operation/ System Architecture
  • Support in development of concepts and tools to solve and prevent problems and to increase efficiency
  • Working in international teams and driving global knowledge transfer and documentation
  • You will conduct workshops and training courses (for customers) and ensure knowledge transfer within the team and supervise juniors and trainees
  • Planning, setup and implementation of technical migration projects and improvement of product and processes, complete your job

Requirements:

  • 6 to 10 years of experience in HANA system architecture and administration
  • Good understanding of HANA system architecture
  • Knowledge on Linux operating system
  • HANA Installation and Administration experience
  • Backup’s maintenance using backint in Hana Studio
  • Stop and start the HANA Database Single and Multi-tenant during Maintenance window
  • Installing Hana 2.0 MDC end to end
  • Performing DB Client upgrade
  • Hana Version upgrade from Hana 1.0 to Hana 2.0
  • Hana Monitoring using Hana Studio by acting on Alerts
  • Applying licenses for HANA systems
  • Audit log management and enable audit log for users
  • Enable traces for performance analysis
  • Performing system health checks
  • Creation of users and giving roles to that users
  • Troubleshooting backup, memory, CPU utilization and performance issues
  • Parameter configuration changes in HANA
  • Performing backup recovery and point in time recovery for both MDC and Non-MDC systems
  • Troubleshooting HANA database issues by analyzing trace files
  • Handling the P1 and P2 related incident and provide the timely solution
  • You own a degree (e.g. business informatics, computer science) or IT training or are a career changer with IT affinity and experience
  • You have outstanding analytical skills, technical affinity and a strong customer focused solution orientation are your hallmarks
