Job Description:

The SAP HANA Consultant role requires 3 to 6 years of experience in SAP HANA and SAP ASE database administration. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, a customer-focused approach, and a relevant degree. Responsibilities include managing production systems, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Weekend and on-call support is expected.

Job Responsibility:

  • Performing assigned tasks and activities, service and change request management as well as problem management and root cause analysis
  • Performing installation, patching and upgrade, Performance related activities and Hardware migrations
  • Performance monitoring and tuning, backup and restore as well as recovery procedures
  • Ensure high availability of the systems including disaster recovery setup
  • Providing technical expertise and support in optimizing System Operation/ System Architecture
  • Support in development of concepts and tools to solve and prevent problems and to increase efficiency
  • Working in international teams and driving global knowledge transfer and documentation
  • Conduct workshops and training courses (for customers) and ensure knowledge transfer within the team and supervise juniors and trainees
  • Planning, setup and implementation of technical migration projects and improvement of product and processes

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of professional experience in the administration and architecture of SAP HANA or SAP ASE databases
  • Able to manage 24x7 Production and Non-production systems
  • Should be able to troubleshoot ongoing issues and solve within stipulated time
  • Good knowledge on performance optimization
  • Very good command of English, spoken and written
  • Should own the activities and take responsibilities until the given task is completed
  • Weekend and on-call support shouldn’t be a problem
  • Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements
  • Need to be a team player
  • Bachelor or Master degree
  • Passionate about SAP, ready to learn and grow
  • Business Travel: Project specific travelling is mandatory

Nice to have:

  • Additional experience in Oracle/MaxDB/DB2 are a plus
  • Python and shell scripting will be an added advantage
