Job Description:

The Hall Manager is responsible for the efficient management of all facets of accommodation in Centre; this includes allocation (to regulatory standards of Welfare), damage inspections/reporting and accurate record keeping of occupants.

Job Responsibility:

  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of all students under your care
  • Inspire, manage, and lead a team committed to students' development and welfare
  • Ensure the correct implementation and subsequent follow ups of the Welfare and Health & Safety systems
  • Maximise student and group leader satisfaction
  • Create the allocation spreadsheet, allocating students by maximizing the occupancy
  • Maintain & submit weekly records of meal provisions, room allocations, occupancy and accounting for your Centre
  • Ensure that standards of cleanliness are kept up by the accommodation provider
  • Undertake regular inspections of all rooms
  • Deal with any complaints or problems relating to accommodation
  • Oversee the care and supervise of individual students
  • Ensure all students' dietary, medical, religious, and cultural needs are met
  • Update notice boards in the Centre
  • Assist with student arrival and departures at Centre
  • Support other managers and carry out other operational/campus duties

Requirements:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent (or currently pursuing)
  • Valid First Aid Certificate (desirable)
  • Safeguarding Level 1 and 2 (desirable)
  • Proven experience in roles involving logistics, organization, or travel
  • Office/administration experience
  • Proficiency in IT systems, including Outlook and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • Must be eligible to work in the EU
  • Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
  • All CV gaps must be satisfactorily explained
  • Proof of identity and qualifications (if applicable) required
  • Clear Criminal Record Check and references must be provided before signing the contract
  • Fluent in written and spoken English

  • Previous experience working with juniors
  • Experience managing a summer school environment
  • Knowledge of Malta
  • Knowledge of any other languages
