Relevant NHS experience in a Haematology and/or Transfusion laboratory
Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems, EQA/IQC procedures, and SOPs

Job Responsibility

Performing routine and specialist haematology and transfusion tests using both automated and manual techniques
Operating, maintaining, and calibrating analysers such as Beckman Coulter and Stago
Ensuring compliance with internal quality controls and external accreditation standards (e.g. UKAS, ISO 15189)
Validating and reporting accurate and timely laboratory results
Supporting the blood bank in the safe provision of blood components
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care
Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to audits and service improvement initiatives
