Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a GP caller to join our friendly team based in Sittingbourne. Our client manufactures specialist medical food and equipment for enterally (through tubes) fed patients, to improve patient quality of life and meet their nutritional needs. The GP callers support the department to ensure prescriptions are received for patients feeding supplies. This role is for someone who enjoys working as part of a friendly team and wants to make a difference to people's lives. The team works in an open plan office within a modern building.

Job Responsibility:

  • Requesting prescriptions from GP surgeries via telephone and email
  • Resolving prescription queries and discrepancies
  • Working with our in-house pharmacy team to ensure patient orders and submitted and processed
  • Ensuring patient records are maintained accurately and kept up to date
  • Manage daily workload as delegated by Team Leader
  • Dealing with ad hoc administration/operation requests & tasks

Requirements:

  • Professional and ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience in customer service preferred but not essential
  • Competent IT skills and ability to learn new systems
  • Professional and confident telephone manner
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask (updating system whilst on the phone, using dual monitors)
  • Ability to work as part of a team
