Job Description

The Representative Officer is a senior-level position responsible for coordinating Citi business in Guyana. The primary responsibility is to develop commercial relationships, assist and continue to meet client needs, improve client experience and innovate to build a competitive advantage while meeting regulatory, compliance and risk requirements. The role is based in Guyana.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage Citi's client relationships in Guyana across Public Sector, Financial Institutions, and Corporates
  • Maintain a robust dialogue with all clients, Ministry of Finance, and Banking Regulator in Guyana
  • Lead in the origination, structuring, and execution of transactions and financings
  • Organize client/prospect meetings including pre-call planning and post-meeting notes
  • Provide accurate and timely revenue tracking and deal pipeline reports
  • Provide day to day support to Banker on documentation such as account opening and closing, loan disbursals
  • Provide complete service support to client, including solving complex client inquiries
  • Ensure appropriate documentation related to KYC/AML from the client
  • Assess risk when business decisions are made and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of experience
  • Knowledge of investments is required
  • Banking and credit products desirable
  • Ability to manage relationships both internal and external
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Bachelor's/University degree
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Fluent in English, Guyanese Creole, and others as relevant to conducting business locally
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate banking business including related products, pertinent regulations and the lending and credit approval process
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, negotiation, presentation sales, client-relationship building, analytical and credit skills
  • Experience in originating, structuring and executing transactions and financings
  • Experience with large, global corporate clients, capital markets products, derivatives, credit, cash management, trade, finance and securities products
  • Experience in recruiting and managing diverse teams with commitment to talent development and ability to manage and work across a diverse and multi-country matrix structure

  • Master's degree preferred
