The Guidewire Lead Developer position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in Guidewire development, particularly with PolicyCenter and GOSU programming. Job Responsibility

  • Communicate with clients to gather requirements and provide status updates
  • Conduct workshops and presentations to validate business needs
  • Analyze business processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Design functional and technical solutions aligned with client objectives
  • Participate in application development (coding, configuration, customization)
  • Review and optimize code for performance and scalability
  • Collaborate with technical teams to integrate solutions with existing systems
  • Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
  • Lead small to medium project teams, assigning tasks and monitoring progress
  • Mentor developers, providing guidance and support
  • Act as a liaison between client stakeholders and technical teams
  • Drive project planning, risk management, and issue resolution
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Recommend innovative solutions and process optimizations

Requirements

  • 5+ years Strong knowledge of PolicyCenter configuration and integration
  • Experience with PolicyCenter data model and workflows
  • Relevant certifications
  • Proficiency in GOSU programming language
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Studio and configuration tools
  • Knowledge of SOAP/REST web services for Guidewire integrations
  • Experience with messaging, batch processes, and plugins
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
  • Solid understanding of Java for custom development
  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud or containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Git, Jenkins, and automated build/deployment pipelines
  • Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
