Job Description

The Guest Services Lead supports daily guest-facing operations at Sol Duc Hot Springs, serving as a working lead for the front desk, pool check-ins, and retail services. This role provides on-the-floor leadership, supports guest service staff during peak periods, assists with training and coverage, and helps ensure a smooth, welcoming, and efficient guest experience across all points of service.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a lead presence for front desk, pool admissions, and retail operations
  • Greet guests, answer questions, and provide accurate information about lodging, pool schedules, policies, and resort amenities
  • Process hotel check-ins and check-outs, pool reservations and wristbands, retail sales, and campground transactions
  • Assist with cash handling, balancing drawers, and following established cash control procedures
  • Support daily shift operations by guiding Guest Service Attendants and stepping in as needed during high-volume periods
  • Help train new Guest Services staff on systems, procedures, and guest service standards
  • Monitor guest flow and assist with line management to maintain a positive guest experience
  • Address basic guest concerns and escalate more complex issues to the Guest Services Supervisor or Manager on Duty
  • Ensure front desk, pool entry, and retail areas remain clean, organized, and properly stocked
  • Follow all safety, security, and National Park Service guidelines
  • Model excellent customer service and teamwork at all times

Requirements

  • Prior guest services, front desk, retail, or hospitality experience required
  • Lead, senior, or key-holder experience strongly preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Comfortable handling cash and point-of-sale systems
  • Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work indoors and outdoors as needed
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods
