The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is looking for a Guest Services Agent who fully embodies our values, shares a passion for excellence, and infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. As Guest Services Agent you will be accountable for shaping the client experience by providing exceptional service in support of our world-renowned hotel. FSNYD is recognized as a Forbes 5 Star Hotel; Forbes 5 Star Spa and AAA 5 Diamond Hotel. This position reports to the Front Office Manager. Work authorization for the location is required.
Job Responsibility
Check in hotel guests efficiently and friendly
Assure guest is assigned type of room requested and correct rate
Arrange luggage delivery
Issue correct keys
Check out guest at end of stay
Ascertain guest satisfaction, collect keys, post late charges, present bill
Settle bill accurately via credit card or cash
Maintain balanced bank assigned by hotel
Make change, cash checks, exchange foreign currency
Reconcile all transactions at close of each shift
Handle guest interactions with highest hospitality and professionalism
Accommodate special requests
Resolve customer complaints
Assist customers with inquiries about hotel services, hours, key personnel, events, directions
Respond to guest requests accurately and timely in person and by phone
Use computer systems to check guests in/out, run daily reports, select and block rooms
Accept reservations, changes and cancellations in absence of CORE staff
Answer guest calls and direct appropriately in absence of Hotel Communications Agent
Quote and be familiar with room and rate availability
Select and block rooms for arriving guests
Pre-register individuals or groups
Assist in escorting VIPs and return guests to rooms
Work closely with Concierge staff to coordinate guest luggage handling and follow up on guest inquiries
Requirements
Knowledge of Front Desk Operations
Good communication skills
Physical mobility as lifting, walking, bending and moving objects up to 50 lbs
Speaking, writing and reading English
Positive attitude and willing to learn
Flexible schedule and ability to work all shifts (Mornings, Evenings, Overnights), weekends and holidays
Work authorization for the location is required
