Job Description:

The Room Attendant is an integral part of the Housekeeping Team, maintaining the guest rooms and suites to industry high standards which allows the ultimate comfort for our visiting guests. A great eye for detail, a high sense of quality and integrity, and a passion for great service will make a successful candidate.

Job Responsibility:

  • Cleans guestrooms as assigned by management and in accordance with hotel standards
  • Inspect all rooms (vacant or occupied) checking the standard of cleanliness, missing guest amenities and/or supplies
  • Provides genuine hospitality and recognition in the work area
  • Promotes hotel services and products
  • Anticipates guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests
  • acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented
  • Is proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery, reports defects and accidents to management immediately
  • To immediately report and hand into the Housekeeping Office any property or guest keys found in ‘check out’ rooms
  • To keep linen rooms tidy, correctly stocked and closed when not in use
  • Must ensure working equipment is always clean, tidy and in good working order
  • Responsible for reporting to the manager the rooms, which do not require service, or which have Privacy signs in assigned area
  • To report to managers any blankets, bedspreads, valances etc. that need changing
  • Reports any damages/repairs/maintenance inserted in HotSOS
  • Carries out any other cleaning duties as specified by your manager

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1+ year previous experience required in related position
  • in a luxury hotel setting preferred
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours
  • Knowledge and the ability to operate cleaning equipment
  • Have a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and working knowledge of English required
