Job Responsibility

  • The responsibility of this role is to deliver qualified In-House and Rental tours to designated sites and to meet and exceed the department budgets KPIs
  • Recruitment, training and performance management of the Guest Experience Host teams
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Guest Experience Hosts
  • Month-end reporting requirements in accordance with company procedures
  • Adhere to all company and regulatory requirements with regards to Guest Experience Host Activities
  • Meet and/or exceed the departmental budgeted expectations, in production and cost efficiencies
  • Ensure all employees stay current with required government licenses and work permits as required
  • Define the responsibilities of the Guest Experience Host teams
  • Be responsible for marketing budgeting and cost accounting systems
  • Schedule guests for maximum efficiency
  • Provide regular coaching, mentoring and feedback to the team to ensure continued development and identify training needs
  • Travel to resort and sales locations as required
  • Identify trends/root causes and take action to ensure desired results are achieved

Requirements

  • Proven management experience
  • Field Marketing experience and track record of results
  • Exceptional customer service focus
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as guidelines, instructions and manuals
  • Ability to draft process manuals and adhoc reports and correspondence
  • Absolute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn Company specific systems
  • Problem-solving skills, patience and good listening skills
  • Demonstrated ability to assist guests and co-workers in a professional, helpful and positive manner
  • Possesses productive, energetic and self-motivated attributes
  • Strong personal values regarding customer service, delivering on the promise and integrity
  • Ability to recognise financial trends and to implement plans to enhance profitability
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, co-workers and clients
  • Ability to use statistical data, logistics, and analytic approaches to identify trends & support strategic decision-making
  • High level of organizational and time-management skills, combined with previous experience in multitasking
  • Flexibility in working schedule – the ability to work weekends, public holidays, evenings as required
  • The capability to work in a fast-paced environment both as part of a team and autonomously

  • Read each guest’s personality and pitch contact accordingly — attentive and high-touch for those who want it, discreet and straight to the point for those who don’t
  • Keep a working record of guest preferences, history and key dates, and brief the relevant team before every arrival
  • Personally manage VIP arrivals, welcome cards and bespoke amenities
  • Own the response to complaints and service failures, resolving them during the stay wherever possible
  • Maintain the concierge knowledge base — dining, access, local partners — and keep Front of House fluent in it
  • Develop and drive the hotel’s visibility strategy in close partnership with Sales, Marketing and PR
  • Turn guest relationships and insight into coverage, referrals and word of mouth
  • Host press and VIP visits, representing the hotel as its lead ambassador
  • Identify high-potential restaurant and bar guests and convert them into room bookings and repeat clientele
