We are looking for a detail-oriented Guardianship Senior Auditor to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this Contract to permanent position, you will be responsible for conducting thorough audits of guardianship cases to ensure compliance with court orders and statutes, safeguarding the interests of wards under state guardianship. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by ensuring financial and legal integrity in the guardianship process.
Job Responsibility:
Review and analyze bank and investment account statements to verify compliance with court orders and applicable regulations
Prepare detailed audit reports, including findings and recommendations, and submit them to the court for review
Coordinate the collection, organization, and assembly of documents necessary for audits, ensuring timely completion
Develop schedules, spreadsheets, and work papers to support audit findings and maintain accurate records
Ensure all financial reports meet compliance standards and address deficiencies with attorneys and guardians
Communicate effectively with legal representatives and guardians to resolve issues identified during audits
Utilize audit, case management, and enterprise resource planning software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency
Provide recommendations for corrective actions where discrepancies or non-compliance are identified
Collaborate with team members to maintain consistency and accuracy in auditing practices
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, economics, or information technology
Minimum of two years of experience in auditing or analytical roles, or equivalent education and experience
Proficiency in audit program management and financial auditing procedures
Familiarity with audit software, case management systems, and enterprise resource planning tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations
Ability to manage multiple audits simultaneously and meet deadlines
Nice to have:
Knowledge of guardianship statutes and regulations is preferred
